Abstract

This article attempts to highlight the future international importance of uranium deposits in Peru and their potential implications for the Peruvian economy.

As expected, the appraisal of uranium ore, its extraction, handling and evaluation of its reserves, is given by the growing development of nuclear energy worldwide, as a whole, for the production of electricity, as one of the clean energy production systems in the context of an economy free of coal and hydrocarbons; for this reason, the article not only contains discussions on uranium, but begins by highlighting the importance of the nuclear sector as a group, to later enter into the uranium sector itself.
