Abstract

This article invites us to reflect on the critical risks which can make us lose our business, in other words, those scenarios that we do not manage and may have an impact on the sustainability of the organization. To do this, we take a tour through the concepts of sustainability and risk management, showing a series of tools and international standards for sustainability management and business risk management. Finally, it is observed that it is possible to integrate risk management into the sustainability strategy of mining companies, the great challenge being to make it a reality in each organization.
